Using it
Events and meets
Meets, track days, drives, cars and coffee. Events on Redline sit on the map with a countdown, so you hear about them before they happen.
Finding events
- On the map: everything in the next two weeks, as zones over the venue. See Event zones.
- In the feed: “Coming up” lists the next three.
- In the app: the Events tab puts the next one up top, groups the rest by week, and filters by niche.
The event card
- When
- Date and time in IST, plus the countdown
- Where
- Venue and address. Events are public, so their location is exact
- Entry
- The price, as the organiser gives it
- Who’s coming
- Going and Interested totals, like “47 going · 12 interested”
- Links
- Tickets or registration on the organiser’s own site, Add to calendar (Google Calendar), and Directions in the app
Going or Interested
Tap Going or Interested. Tap it again to take it back. Everyone sees the totals, and nobody sees who. You can’t RSVP once an event has ended or been cancelled.
Event galleries
After an event ends, spots taken inside its venue area (300 m to 5 km around the venue, depending on the place) between an hour before the start and an hour after the end show up in the event’s gallery, once they’ve passed the 24 hour map delay. A meet gets its photos without anyone making an album.
It also means a gallery shows that you were there in that window. If you don’t want that, the only way out is deleting the spot.
Promoted events
When an organiser pays to promote an event, it carries the Promoted label everywhere it appears: on the map, in lists and on its card. We don’t hide it or soften it. Promotion doesn’t move an event up a list. Lists stay in date order.
Who adds events
During the beta we add events ourselves, from organisers we talk to. There’s no public “submit an event” form yet. If you run something, see For organisers.
